Minty Oreo Cheesecake Brownie

This is the illegitimate love child of three recipes. In addition to those three recipes, I also bastardized it with a little of my own madness. Oh yes, this brownie is a dirty dirty brownie.

My boyfriend requested that I make this Triple Layer Fudgy Mint Oreo Brownie except he said to make it really fudgy. I know fudgy brownies! I decided to borrow the minty oreo idea, modified this brownie recipe from My Baking Addiction as the brownie base. I'm not a big fan of the white chocolate/marshmallow tops of the Triple Layer Fudgy Mint Oreo Brownie recipe, so I decided to top it off with minty cheesecake from this cheesecake brownie recipe also from My Baking Addiction.

My sister sent me an IM that said:

"Omg your brownies are too much ... I'm going to have a heart attack and die."

So yeah...this will also be known as the Heart Attack Brownie.

Waffle Ice Cream Sandwich

In the previous post, I talked about candied bacon ice cream. Then that spawned this conversation:

Brendan: make the ice cream
and add chunks of egg in it
LeTran: cooked eggs? (commentary: I'm not stupid, ice cream has uncooked eggs in it)
Brendan: yup
and a bit of waffle
oh oh, nix the egg
and just put pieces of syrupy waffles with the bacon
orrr a bacon ice cream sandwich
LeTran: omg waffle ice cream sandwich
waffle bacon ice cream sandwich
Brendan: ohhhhh omg
that is a real good idea
no joking

Matcha (Green Tea) Ice Cream

My first exposure to matcha, Japanese green tea, ice cream was during my first trip to Berkeley in high school. My first thought was "What? Tea ice cream? Wouldn't that taste kinda gross?" Good thing I decided to try it and changed my mind on the whole "gross" part. It's so fun when stuff you thought is gross initially turns out to be awesome?

When you have an ice cream maker, you might as well make ice cream with it, right? Right!

Raspberry Ice Cream

When the temperature in the Central Valley of California reaches triple digit, there is nothing better than sweet, fruity ice cream in one's tummy. Nothing, I tell you! I was going to make green tea ice cream but the only place I know that sells macha green tea is closed. So, raspberry ice cream was made and the recipe was found at Annie's-Eats.com

Coffee Ice Cream Pie

This really should be posted under weekend misadventures. But seeing that it wasn't made during the weekend nor it was really a misadventure, it will be recognized as its own post.

For my birthday this year (3 years until 30!), I did myself the favor of chopping off 12-13 inches (I'm not sure of the exact measurement) of my hair to donate. Then I congratulate myself for the new haircut by making myself an ice cream pie for my birthday.
